We had the honor of visiting the Stelios Klados winery for the first time in the summer of 2023. The full vines extend in the Panormo region near Rethymno in northern Crete all the way to the coast, where they are bathed in the sea breeze.
The creation “Great Hawk” is characterized by a bright yellow-green color that is otherwise only found in the plants of the Cretan plateaus. It's no wonder that this special wine contains the aromas of mountain flowers, jasmine and acacia, which meet mango, apricot and lychee. The aftertaste reveals a slight hint of ginger, which gives the wine an elegant finish.
